Due to ongoing expansion, we have the following opportunities available:

QC INSPECTOR

You will be working as part of a very experienced QHSE team that specialises in production of well intervention and subsea control equipment for a well established customer base of global service companies.

The overall summary of your job role is to ensure that all items going through inspection conform to drawings and relevant standards, to liase with 3rd party inspection companies and ensure jobs are completed accurately, to ensure customers certification packages conform to all relevant standards, and to inspect machined components using company measuring equipment.

Key Responsiblities:

  • Inspection of machined parts using verniers, micrometers, inside micrometers, dial gauges, blade micrometers, bore micrometers, bore comparators etc.
  • Checking threads using ring gauges, pin gauges, gauge maker and wire gauges by calculations.
  • Hardness checks using Birnell testers.
  • Ensuring all goods receiving reports/certification is correctly processed.
  • Ensuring supplied certification meets Purchase Order requirements and where applicable relevant material specification.
  • Processing of inspection and non conformance reports.
  • Quarantine non conforming product and manage to acceptable resolution.
  • Liaison with customer inspections representatives and suppliers.
  • Ensuring all components have undergone relevant NDT.
  • Ensuring the calibration of equipment in the inspection department is kept up to date as per the calibration register.

Experience/Qualifications required:

  • 5 years+ experience in similar role ESSENTIAL
  • Machine shop component inspection ESSENTIAL
  • Must posses good computer/ keyboard skills ESSENTIAL
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite (words and excel) ESSENTIAL
  • Conversant with gauge master thread inspection system and material hardness testing ESSENTIAL
  • Experience with pressure retaining equipment ie BOP’s, lubricators etc PREFFERED
  • A knowledge of QA principles, concepts and improvement techniques PREFFERED
  • Experience in MPI & LPI PREFFERED
  • Internal auditing PREFFERED
  • HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline PREFFERED
  • City and Guilds PREFFERED
  • ASNT Level 2 in MPI & LPI PREFFERED

PRESSURE CONTROL TECHNICIAN

You will be working as part of a very experienced Pressure Control Workshop that specialises in well intervention equipment for a well established customer base of global service companies.

For the position of Pressure Control Technician, we are seeking a candidate with previous experience in pressure control equipment such as wireline BOPs, stuffing boxes, grease heads, crossovers and lubricators.

Key experience required:

  • Must have previous experience in pressure control equipment such as wireline BOPs, stuffing boxes, grease heads, crossovers and lubricators
  • Must have experience in a workshop environment
  • Must be competent with pressure testing and powered hand tools
  • Must be flexible with overtime at short notice
  • Willingness to travel preferable

DESIGN ENGINEER

You will be working as part of a very experienced Pressure Control Engineering Department that specialises in well intervention equipment for a well established customer base of global service companies.

For the position of Design Engineer, we are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic to advance their design knowledge.

Key experience required:

  • Must be time served
  • Must be educated to HNC Level in Engineering (or working towards HNC)
  • Must have experience using AutoCAD
  • Must have previous design engineering experience (ideally, currently working as a junior design engineer)
  • Must have an understanding of machining processes
  • Knowledge of pressure control equipment would be advantageous
  • Candidate must be willing to work within our workshop for initial training
